Yep...I was looking at getting a second 5D, and figured if I was going to spend a couple thousand might as well get the new one. Also what's a new camera with out some new glass? hahaha that 16-35mm lens is fantastic!
I shot that photo with the 24-105.

Here is one of the 1st shots with the 16-35mm(on the original 5D)

Congrats on the new gear, and nice shot! Wide angles are a lot of fun.

I love my Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8 for it's superb image quality, but if I were to do it again I would go for the 17-35mm f/2.8 instead.

The 14-24 is huge and heavy, doesn't take filters, and a top end of 24mm is still very wide! I think that while the 17-35 is not quite as good, it is still very good and much more practical.

We had to go with a slim 82mm filter...can't believe a filter cost so much hahah

I can't pick just one photo for today....well technically it is the same photo, but I can't decide if I like the cropped one better.

Hmmm, good question. I have no idea! It was Saturday night around 9pm.
I wish I had gone out an hour earlier when it was lower in the horizon and much larger, then I probably could've gotten equal drama without having to shoot at unfortunately-unsharp 300mm.
