My 1st attempt at bird photography
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:09:25 AM »
I headed out with my wife to get some bird photos yesterday, it was above 32degrees and it was sunny! If you're not from Rochester that is a rare day in Feb.
Anyway, I shot these with the canon 5D2 with the canon 70-200L. The lens isn't quite long enough so these are all cropped to 100%

Nope, but that's a great idea for our next outing.
This is at the Gosnell nature preserve on Whitting Rd in Webster.

While we're on the bird theme, I have this gorgeous Blue-crowned Mot Mot who comes on my lot regularly. These were taken right off my deck, using my Bigma at very high ISO because it was after sunset.

Bigma???

My old Sigma 50-500mm, which works much better on the D700 than it did on the D200.
