Pro Photographer Chase Jarvis got the opportunity to put the not-yet-released Nikon D90 through its paces on the rough streets of Seattle and a professional shoot in the dry desert of central Washington. Chase's photographs can be seen gracing the pages of Bike, Mountain bike Review, Powder as well as other publications I don't read.
Chase Jarvis : Advanced Testing The Nikon D90
Chase's own words:
"Woot! Today I get to be among the very first to share with you the planet’s newest camera: the much-anticipated Nikon D90. You may have been attuned to all the recent leaks, buzz and rumors of a new Nikon camera coming soon, but I can assure you, this here ain’t no rumor. It’s the real deal and I know so because my crew and I spent several weeks testing and experimenting with this gem months in advance of today’s release, and our efforts make up the launch campaign. Hold onto your chairs for a second as I drop a few nuggets."
If you’re at all curious to see actual 1000px detail shots of the camera, sample images, technical specs, and hear the backstory behind what a Nikon D3 pro like yours truly was doing with a D90 camera targeted to advanced amateurs, click ‘continue reading’ .

EXIF Data:
Camera: Canon Powershot SD870 IS
Exposure: 1/400 sec at F/2.8
ISO Speed: 80
Focal Length: 4.6mm (28mm equivalent)
A few words from the photographer:
I was walking the dog and decided to take just my P&S camera because the weather was threatening. I walked by this bus at least a hundred times before and never really looked at it. But because this month's theme was "green", and the bus is painted in a green camouflage, I decided to take a closer look at it. I took about 10 shots from different angles, and this was my favourite composition. The light was a little harsh but I was able to fix the blown areas in Lightroom 2 while keeping the sharp contrast.
